You will be met at Uzbek-Kyrgyz border. In Osh city you will go for a walk and visit the most famous place – Suleiman Mountain, it is situated in the center of the city and they say that it`s a pilgrimage place for local Muslims. According to the legend, biblical prophet Solomon (Suleiman in the Koran) was buried at the foot of it. Bishkek is located at an altitude 750-m.above sea level.
City tour will start from visiting Victory Square, Oak Park, Central Ala-Too Square, the History Museum, National Philharmonic, and other interesting sightseeing’s. After visiting all these places, we go for a lunch in national restaurant. You will try origin Kyrgyz food. After we continue our city tour and visit Asian Bazaar.
Asian Bazaar is opened in Soviet Union times and reconstructed in 2001. There you can find many interesting things. Then we drive to hotel to have a rest. About 19.00 o`clock we go for dinner in one of the best local restaurants. Night in hotel.
Day 2 Osh-Arslanbob (220km).
Today we will drive to Arslanbob walnut forest. The road takes about 6 hours. On the way we will visit Djalal Abad town and its famous Uzgen Tower. This tower was built in 11th century by Karakhanids.
There are also there mausoleums that were used as burial places for the leaders. Arslanbob’s grove produces 1500 tons of walnuts per year and is the largest single natural source of walnuts in the World. Night you will spend in a local home stay.
Day 3 Arslanbob-Chychkan (330km).
In the morning, we will drive to the calming setting of Chychkan gorge. During your transfer, we will travel along astounding mountain gorges where it is possible to meet nomadic families. Many nomads still live in felt dwellings called yurts. Yurts are made of wool and wooden sticks, without using a single nail. In summertime,it is very pleasant to live in them and in the winter, they are surprisingly warm.
Nomads go to high mountains during the summer to breed their cattle. The Kyrgyz nomads are very hospitable and if we meet them,we will be able to communicate with them. Your guide will tell you many fascinating facts about nomadic life. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 4 Chychkan-Kyzyloi (190km).
Today we will drive to Kyzyloi village. 93% of Kyrgyzstan is mountainous with nomadic life in remote places – our country is a real paradise for people that are in love with mountains and unusual cultures. The route takes you along roads that wind along incredible gorges.
During your drive be prepared for amazing views of the impressive mountains and gorges. Today we will see some nomads that still live in this region. Night and dinner will be in a home stay. This is a very remote village.
Day 5 Kyzyloi-Kyzylkorgon-Kochkor (210km).
In the morning, we will drive to amazing KyzylKorgon – the gorge of Red Rocks! You will have today magnificent climbs, thrilling descents and unforgettable views.
We continue our way in direction of Kochkor village. On the way visit famous Kochkor cave. On arrival in Kochkor we visit small family museum and we participate in carpet production show. Dinner and night in local house.
Day 6 Kochkor-Song kul-Kochkor (280km).
After breakfast, we start our drive to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan – Son Kul Lake. This lake is surrounded by mountains and it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3013 meters above sea level. Kyrgyz nomads started to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland.
After our arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. Dinner and overnight is in nomadic collapsible dwellings – yurts. They are made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings.
Transfer to Song kul lake by 33 pass (3133 m)
Day 7 Kochkor–Issikkul-Bishkek (310km).
Today you transfer to Bishkek city. On route you will visit Burana Tower. It is a minaret from the 11th century. BuranaTowerwas used during the Great Silk Road as a sign for travelers that there was a city to have a rest. Nearby you will see an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors).
These grave stones that look like warriors – they were made in honor of brave soldiers that died for their Motherland. After an interesting excursion and climbing on the top of the tower is transfer to the Kyrgyz capital. Traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Night is in a hotel.
Day 8 Bishkek-Flight to home country.
